Supports up to 4 early-stage start-ups rent-free for 6 months in the Incubator. The lab contains both molecular biology and mammalian tissue culture equipment.
Access is provided to:
- 250 sq ft of lab space
- 2 office desks
- Community and events at SBC
- Incubator facilities (see below)

Incubator 32,000 sq ft
Designed to support early stage ventures, the building is divided into lab and office units of 250 sq ft, 500 sq ft and 1,000 sq ft.
Access is provided to:
- Community Lab (general)
- Cytiva Technology Lab (specialist)
- skilled laboratory personnel
- atrium/coffee lounge and meeting rooms
- shared kitchens
- reception services
Accelerator 34,000 sq ft
Larger scale bespoke lab and office accommodation split across three floors for maturing companies
Access is provided to:
- atrium
- coffee lounge
- meeting space
- reception
Spark Building 10,000 sq ft
Designed to accommodate ventures with a focus on cell and gene technologies. The space is divided into seven lab and office units of 1,000 - 2,000 sq ft.
The building benefits from a shared storage facility, kitchen and social area.
