SBC Summer Social June 2024

We welcomed over 300 SBC based occupiers to the Summer Social this year, with businesses and their staff enjoying the (mostly) sunny weather, food trucks, ice creams and our new deckchairs, taking shelter under our stretch tent when the wind kicked up!

To add a touch of fun and encourage some mingling, SBC hosted a treasure hunt, with questions leading teams across the Campus to claim ice cream tokens, free gym passes, and be in with a chance to win a chocolate giftbox – which went to Plurify, who managed to successfully count all of the Incubator building’s solar windows, list the Thermo Fisher vending machine temperatures, and identify the species of tree in our outdoor Plaza, amongst many more!

SBA also ran a Summer Hat theme to raise awareness of local charity STEMPOINT, the Stevenage based charity encourages widening access to STEM subjects for local children, to promote equal educational opportunities. Antikor BioPharma’s CEO, Dr Deno Mahendra won the best hat title, with his golf course themed beret. SBC will be making a donation on behalf of those who took part.
