SBC strengthens advisory panel

 

Stevenage, July 2013 – Stevenage BioScience Catalyst  has appointed 3 more experts to join its successful advisory panel. Dr Nick Pay, Dr Berwyn Clarke and Emma Palmer Foster will further contribute to expanding the campus’ business incubation activities. 

Since 2012, nearly 30 businesses have set up in the incubator, making up over 80 employee and director positions. 

Dr Nick Pay has extensive international sales and marketing experience in the medical devices, life sciences and diagnostic/genomics fields. He has been CEO of a UK diagnostics instrumentation start up, and more recently head of the business unit of Oxford Gene Technology, a microarray company.

Dr Berwyn Clarke is a senior executive in the in vitro diagnostic industry with wide spread experience in both the pharmaceutical and diagnostic industries for the past 30 years.

Emma Palmer Foster advises life sciences companies on corporate and financial strategy, investor relations and communications. She has over 20 years of experience in the European pharmaceutical and biotech sector, via roles in investment banking, financial communications and investor relations, journalism and technology transfer.

Commenting on his appointment,  Dr Nick Pay said “SBC already has an excellent track record in innovation and entrepreneurship, with many flourishing start up companies. This advisory role with SBC is one in which I am looking forward to getting stuck into, particularly by helping SBC diversify into the medtech sector”.
