Funding for Deep Tech: structure your R&D activities and broaden your choices for raising finance

The Deep Tech phenomenon: 2021 can be considered the year when Deep Tech finally arrived. According to the new European Startups report, published by Sifted, European deep tech companies are now worth more than a combined £650B, and account for a quarter of all VC investment in Europe. Success of companies like BioNTech clearly demonstrate the value of supporting long term R&D creating the right conditions for support from governments, corporates and private investors.

This webinar will start by describing the key factors that make funding deep tech companies a challenge. Following from this, it explores approaches that can be applied by deep tech companies to better prepare themselves before fund raising – including structuring their commercialisation process, identifying the right sources of funding, and asking for the right amounts. Finally, it provides an overview of public funding sources offering grants in the form of matched funding.

Who should attend: The Funding for Deep Tech webinar is targeted at founders and senior managers of technology companies seeking external funding from public and/or private sources to support their R&D and product development activity. The webinar can also help founders considering commercialisation of their technology through applying for grant funding. Please use the sign-up button to register via eventbrite.
