Delivered in partnership with Cytiva, this course introduces delegates to chromatography and downstream processes and the principles of purification and membrane separations. Our unique training facility houses state-of-the-art equipment that provides delegates with the opportunity to gain hands-on practical training in complex bioprocessing procedures, including the Cytiva AKTA platform and UNICORN software.

Learning outcomes:

  • Develop an understanding of chromatography and gain hands on experience by use of AKTA Pure systems and Unicorn software.
  • Learn the fundamentals of crossflow and normal flow filtration and apply these in the operation of an example process.
  • Gain an overview of the downstream process and common quality testing techniques.

Who should attend:

  • Scientists new to downstream processing and industrial chromatography
  • Scientists and process engineers who want to review the basics of biomolecule purification
  • Scientists and engineers interested in deepening their knowledge about design, optimization, and troubleshooting of chromatographic processes.

Course dates
