About this Event

Bayer LifeHub UK and Thames Valley AI Hub are delivering the third in the series of co-branded events with a focus on the funding opportunities for AI in healthcare projects.

With countless applications for AI in healthcare, the opportunities for funding are varied and complex. Join this event for an overview of the funding landscape and hear from NIHR (National Institute for Health Research) , NHSX (a joint unit bringing together teams from the Department of Health and Social Care, NHS England and NHS improvement) and Oxford Academic Health Science Network who will explain the options available and how to navigate the process to give your project the very best chance for success.

Attendees will also hear from Mirada Medical who had 2 projects funded in the first round of the AI in Health and Care award (Phase 1 and Phase 4) who will be sharing why their propositions stood out and lessons learnt from the process.

16:30 Welcome and Introductions

16:40 Representatives from NIHR and NHSX will share details on The AI in Health and Care Award including who is eligible, the different phases available, what has happened so far and tips on how to submit a successful application. They will also give an overview of the funding landscape and include links to other funding opportunities.
