Stevenage Bioscience Catalyst (SBC), the UK’s first open innovation bioscience campus, is delighted that Artemida Pharma has won the Queens Award for Enterprise in the International Trade Category - one of the highest accolades for business success.

Founded at SBC just 4 years ago, Artemida Pharma has grown into a specialist consultancy established by drug development experts to provide strategic drug development consultancy and project management to start-up, biopharma and mid-sized pharma companies. Since the company’s inception, they have provided end-to-end services, encompassing strategic clinical, regulatory and commercial expertise, along with a focus on technical pharmaceutical development of small molecules and biological agents.

The award has been made in recognition of the company’s ability to demonstrate outstanding results in its field.

Miranda Knaggs, Business Development Director for SBC, said:“These are exciting times for Artemida Pharma. They are a high performing team, providing services that meet the needs of their clients. Such an accolade is recognised across the world so having one of these under your belt can be particularly advantageous in overseas markets – they can give extra credibility and open the doors to new markets.

Dr Sarah Arbe-Barnes, Dr Robert Miller and Dr Peter Tiffin are an inspiration and I congratulate them on their hard work and their achievement. The opportunity for them to join the business winners and go to the palace to celebrate their hard work is well deserved and I hope they have a wonderful time.

It is important that we create the right environment at SBC for new and upcoming entrepreneurs to succeed and I will strongly encourage our occupiers to start thinking about nominations as they grow”.
