Five new positions open for application at Autifony Therapeutics!

Autifony is a cutting-edge biotech company dedicated to developing new medicines to treat rare genetic CNS disorders by deploying its pioneering ion channel drug discovery platform. Since its formation in 2011, Autifony has delivered three candidate molecules into clinical development. The Company’s pipeline includes clinical stage Kv3 modulators for Fragile X and rare epilepsy syndromes. Earlier stage programmes on other voltage- and ligand-gated channels, including lysosomal ion
channels, are aligned with CNS indications such as epilepsy, Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s disease, vascular dementia and lysosomal storage disorders.

Electrophysiologist (12 month contract)

Seeking a highly motivated electrophysiologist with experience in ion channel research and pharmacology/drug discovery to become part of a dynamic preclinical R&D group focused on the discovery and development of novel ion channel therapeutics. Closing date: 1 Sep 2025

Senior Electrophysiologist 

Seeking a highly motivated electrophysiologist with experience in the use of solid supported membrane-based electrophysiology (SSME) exemplified by the SURFE2R system (Nanion Technologies GmbH). Through a lead role in the use of this technology, the candidate will deliver important insights into the pharmacology of novel ion channel and other targeted small molecules to support ongoing drug discovery as part of a dynamic preclinical R&D group. Senior Medical Chemist (12 month contract)

An experienced medicinal chemist with a strong chemistry background, analytical ability, and creative problem-solving skills. Candidates will have extensive experience of small molecule drug discovery and a proven track record in preclinical and early-stage drug development. The successful candidate will be expected to mentor junior chemists and will be expected to design, synthesize and characterize new chemical entities with specific properties and structural features targeted to CNS diseases. Junior Medical Chemist (12 month contract)

A recent graduate with ideally, 1-3 years of synthetic chemistry experience. The successful candidate will be expected to design, synthesize and characterize new chemical entities under the
