CamMed Therapeutics Ltd closes pre-seed round and expands Board

Congratulations to CamMed Therapeutics Ltd on closing its pre-seed funding round and continuing its growth on campus through team expansion.

Co-founders Dr Ahmet Can Berkyurek and Dr Andreas Claas have scaled the team alongside this milestone, with Dr Kenny Simmen joining the Board as a Non-Executive Director, having previously served on its Scientific Advisory Board.

Dr Ahmet Can Berkyurek, said:
“Our focus is on developing RNA-based treatments for Sanfilippo disease, where there are currently very limited options for families. This milestone allows us to continue progressing our science and brings us a step closer to supporting children living with this condition. What we are developing can be applicable to other disease areas, such as oncology and chronic conditions.”

The company has also secured new digital assets, including cammed.co.uk and rnarise.com, as it develops its platform, having recently rebranded from Cambridge Medixine.
