Aerska builds momentum with key appointments following major funding milestones

Aerska has continued to strengthen its team following a series of significant funding milestones that are helping to accelerate the development of its RNA medicine delivery platform for neurological diseases.

The company recently expanded its board with the appointments of Uli Stilz and Itziar Canamasas, two highly experienced biotechnology leaders who bring expertise spanning drug development, strategic partnerships and company growth. Their appointments further strengthen Aerska’s leadership as it advances technologies designed to enable RNA medicines to reach the brain and unlock new treatment options for patients living with serious neurological diseases.

Aerska has also welcomed Amit Das, an MBA student at Harvard Business School, who will support the company’s clinical network and strategy activities this summer. Amit brings experience at the intersection of life sciences investment, patient advocacy and research, having previously worked with LuMind IDSC, a Down syndrome research and advocacy organisation, and Bain Capital Life Sciences.

The appointments follow Aerska’s recent $10 million investment from Global Health Investment Corporation (GHIC), building on the company’s previously announced $21 million seed financing and $39 million Series A round. Together, the funding is helping to advance Aerska’s RNA delivery platform and accelerate the development of new treatments for neurological diseases.
